Small but mighty

It's just a simple - like SUPER simple - rock paper scissors game. It's not even connected to the DOM yet, it runs entirely in console.log, and both computer and player are randomized.

So why does it matter so much?

It matters because celebrating wins is important - matters for the narrative in your head but also for those around you who celebrate with you. It matters because it is a representation of a larger journey. It matters because it represents a return to something I've enjoyed for years but have never fully pursued. It matters because it was fun to problem solve. It was fun to dig for answers and read so many discussions about writing it this way or writing it that way.

It matters because I know this is only half a step in such a large journey. I enjoy clean succinct code and I am excited to get further into my fluency with JavaScript to be able to concatenate long logic and verbose code down into a clean one-liner.

It is small realizations like this that remind me that I'm on the right journey; I'm headed in the right direction.

I hope whoever you are reading this and whatever you are slogging through right now that you stop and take a moment to celebrate your wins, no matter how small they might feel.

You did it! I'm proud of you!
